Loved his personal photos with stars and the aerial views of the properties. Palm Springs Gem Collin was very knowledgeable & entertaining & would highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning about celebrities who have previously lived in Palm Springs &/or are currently living there . You will never get a feeling of what this town was built on driving around yourself. Be early, be ready to go because wheels up at tour time which we loved!! Craig S76 days agoThis tour exceeded our expectations!! I had been to Palm Springs several times, but wanted to learn more about the past and present of this great iconic city! We booked the tour and were we ever glad we did! Do not wait to take this tour, take it ASAP!! Peter was our guide, and he was so knowledgeable, and impressive with his Palm Springs wisdom. He loved doing it, and has just as much fun as we did. You will learn SOOO much! We did the tour in late June, and it was hot, but they are so prepared for you, you are going to have a blast! The way you can hop on and off the cart if desired, the open air feel, and the ease, it’s PERFECT!! I would do this trip again just for the incredible experience again!! Both Colin and the owner Peter were very gracious and accommodating. You can tell they are in no rush for the tour to be over and want the tourists to get their money's worth. Yes, the sightseeing was phenomenal, but Peter’s depth of knowledge, presentation and passion is what made it special. His storytelling was very entertaining. Carol A92 days agoWonderful tour experience Palm Springs weather was hot, at the beginning of our tour we were provided with iced cold water, each seat had a dedicated cooling fan, a manual fan to block the sun and a mister! Our Tourguide, Kolin, is very knowledgeable and fun to be with during our tour. Being in an open golf cart, it was so much fun going on/off the cart that allows us to see and experience more as Kolin answers our questions and peak our interest to learn more. During the tour we even have a surprise herd of big horns grazing in the golf course. Thank you for the great experience! At the end of our tour there was a small token gift as well. Such a thoughtful and wonderful gesture! This tour is worth your time and money! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, professional, and enjoyable. The owner/operator and tour guide Kolin make an outstanding team, and their passion for Palm Springs and its fascinating history shines through in every aspect of the tour. The tour was informative, entertaining, and filled with interesting stories, celebrity history, and behind-the-scenes details that made the experience truly memorable. Every stop was thoughtfully planned, and Kolin's enthusiasm, knowledge, and engaging personality kept us captivated throughout the entire journey. The stories and knowledge shared by our guide was interesting and entertaining. I learned about the architecture and the owners and it made me love MCM, the legends of the big screen, and PS more! A special thanks to the owners. My friend bailed on me last minute and I had to rush in an uber to the tour. I was scared I would miss it and I was late. You’re going to get all the history, architecture details, all the stories and lore, and some fun to boot. The golf cart vs van aspect of this tour allows you to easily hop off to get a picture. Deborah L121 days agoFantastic Tour This tour was way better than we could have imagined. The golf carts are very comfortable and the drive in them is so smooth. Each seat has a small adjustable fan, a hand fan, spritz bottle of water to cool off and you are supplied with as much ice cold water as you need to drink. Our guide Colin was so friendly and informative. We really liked his manner and his professionalism. We loved that he was able to show us pictures of what some of the homes originally looked like and even inside photos of many of the homes! He is so passionate about these homes that it’s infectious. We are of the rat pack era so knew every single star that he spoke about! Even if you don’t know who they are the tour through this beautiful community is incredible. It’s so quiet, the gardens are lovely and if you love mid century modern architecture this is a great tour for that. Lots of beautiful Spanish style homes too. A trip through a bygone era where money didn’t have to be shown off - very classy and respectful. Some of the homes are huge but you can’t see that from the road as the lots are narrow but very long! Colin even gave us all a surprise little gift at the end which was wonderful and will be used by us for sure! One thing we would add is that it was very very hot the day we went -105! Colin made sure we were all looked after with more water etc and stopped in the shade whenever possible. The carts are covered so no worries there. Make sure you dress accordingly and wear sunscreen and hats as you can get out of the carts to take photos - loads of great photo opportunities. You ride in a six-passenger golf cart and even though it was very warm outside, the husband wife team that run the two golf carts together do everything they can to make it a cool, comfortable experience... specifically water bottles, little spray bottles, and individual fans mounted by the seat. The tour guide is very knowledgeable about the homes that you stop in front of, which famous person lived/lives there or who designed them, what style they are, stories about the stars and the homes. It was just a very pleasant almost 2 hours riding around the iconic Palm Springs neighborhood learning all the history. He seemed to have real feelings for the stories he told; it seemed like much more than a job to him. Peter was an amazing guide. He was very knowledgeable, and quite enjoyable to listen to. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Well worth the $125 per person. Star after star, from Clark Gable to Elvis Presley to Frank Sinatra to Liberace to Dean Martin, to many more big names .... we saw it all. We had a blast. The celebrity homes tour itself was really enjoyable. You tend to picture celebrity houses as huge, gated mansions with walls and heavy security, so it was actually really cool to see that many of them are on regular streets just like any other neighborhood. The only drawback was the audio setup. Since we were in the second golf cart, we missed a lot of what the guide was saying. We were given walkie-talkies with earbuds, but if a car got between the carts or we fell too far behind, the signal would cut out completely. Hearing the history and stories behind the homes is just as important—if not more—than simply knowing which celebrity lived there. I’d recommend either sticking to one golf cart or having the driver of the second cart give a live tour as well. This was the only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars.Posted on Tripadvisor

We are grateful for these two!Posted on ViatorAnette_N139 days agoBeautiful day in PS It was a perfect day in Palm Springs with temp of 78• the golf cart was very clean, nice to have ear phones, cold water bottle and individual spray bottles of water to cool off if needed. There was also individualized motor fans in the cart to move air around! I have grown up in the area and found the tour wonderful- learning a lot of history from Colin that I never knew! My only recommendation would be to market it with the understanding that it’s history- and most of the homes are people who have died. With that said, there was only 1 current celebrity home and while we were outside taking pictures, he came to the front yard- it was Leonardo DiCaprio! He owns the former Dinah Shore estate and it was beautiful! He waved and said hello-such a lovely experience! A perfect way to end the tour! Rhonda C140 days agoPhenomenal tour with loads of back stories! Amazing tour! Very professional! We had husband and wife guides in two open golf carts. They provided water, fans, wired ear buds, and fans to block the sun. He did most of the narration and we learned he is a fanatic so had a wealth of info. The wife provided large photos of the interiors of some of the places we stopped of both inside the house and the grounds and had her own stories to share. We were encouraged to get out and take pics as they shared their information about the properties. The tour was so informative and interesting and we were sorry when it ended. Anne M163 days agoVery interesting!! Really enjoyed our tour of Old Las Palmas and other streets where homes of Hollywood icons lived and some still live. Our tour guide, a married couple, had lots of information about the architecture, history, and the inside scoop on many celebrities! They really looked out for our comfort (it was during an early Spring heatwave). So many fascinating stories! Definitely worth it, if you like movie stars and architecture.Posted on Tripadvisor
